On the basis of a partnership established in 2013 between Cisneros and UN Women, Cisneros Media– a Cisneros corporate division that encompasses its businesses in broadcast television, Pay-TV, production and distribution of entertainment content, music and beauty contests - is focused on the dissemination, through its communication platforms, of campaigns and messages that promote gender equality and women's rights with an emphasis on promoting the prevention and elimination of violence against women.

Cisneros Media Distribution (CMD) is attending the international market DISCOP Africa 2014 to present its acclaimed telenovelas available in English, including its most recent production of “Cosita Linda” [Sweet Thing], the novela starring Christian Meier, Ana Lorena Sanchez, Zuleyka Rivera, and Pedro Moreno.

Cisneros Media Distribution (CMD) presents the striking new series “XRC” (Extreme Reality Clips) as part of its programming proposal for the international market MIPCOM 2014, which is currently taking place in Cannes, France, through October 16th.

Cisneros Media, the corporate division encompassing the Cisneros’ media and entertainment businesses, announced the appointment of Marcello Coltro as Executive Vice President of Content Distribution.  Based out of the corporate headquarters in Miami, Coltro will oversee the company’s Pay-TV and Content Distribution units and report directly to Cisneros Media President Jonathan Blum.
