Cisneros Media Distribution (CMD) presents its programming proposal for the upcoming MIPTV 2014 that showcases three new productions for the international market: the telenovelas “Sweet Thing” [Cosita Linda] and “Emerald Heart” [Corazón Esmeralda], as well as the captivating tele-series “DeMente Criminal” [Criminal MasterMind].
“For us, MIPTV is an important opportunity to further establish our brand as a global distributor of entertainment content, representing a wide range of more than 30,000 hours of programming, either from our affiliated producers, Venevision in Venezuela and Venevision Productions in the United States, as our associated independent producers that have come to rely on dedication and expertise for the commercialization of their products,” emphasized Cesar Diaz, Vice President, Cisneros Media Distribution, who will be welcoming potential buyers at the company’s exhibition stand (P-1.G50) during MIPTV, which runs from April 7th to the 10th at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.
“Sweet Thing” [Cosita Linda], the telenovela featuring Christian Meier, Ana Lorena Sanchez, Zuleyka Rivera and Pedro Moreno in the leading roles, just finalized production and is ready for delivery; while the classic novela “Emerald Heart” [Corazón Esmeralda], headlined by the talented and beautiful Irene Esser (Miss Venezuela Universe 2011) and Luis Geronimo Abreu, is currently in production, as is the thrilling tele-series “DeMente Criminal” [Criminal MasterMind], which stars Lorena Rojas, Sebastian Ligarde, Gabriel Valenzuela, Maria Fernanda Yepes and Marcela Mar.
“In addition, our programming proposal for this year’s 51st edition of MIPTV contains fascinating reality series, scripted teen series, comedies, sports and variety programs that only exemplify the diversity contained in Cisneros Media Distribution’s vast catalogue, which showcases some of the industry’s most celebrated telenovelas,” Diaz added.
MIPTV is the world’s most-established TV and digital content market and the biggest gathering of entertainment professionals each April, according to its organizer Reed MIDEM. Top industry executives and creative talent from 100 countries converge in Cannes to forge early-stage content development partnerships and seal international distribution deals for the year ahead. The international market, which features some 60 keynotes speakers and conferences, is expected to attract more than 11,000 participants, 4,000 buyers and over 1,600 exhibitors from around the world.
